A new Power 11 server starts at $41,500 for a four-core S1112 and runs past $2 million for a 96-core E1180. Here are the published prices by model, what each one includes, and the date behind every number.

IBM has not published a Power 11 price list. Every number on this page is a price that a reseller posted or a trade publication reported, and each one carries its date.

Why two S1122 quotes can be $150,000 apart
Take the S1122. The example builds in Midland Information Systems' Power 11 pricing article price the same hardware at $33,304 in all eight rows: two four-core processors, 128 GB of memory and 1.6 TB of flash.
The totals run from $40,826 to $219,743.
Nothing on the hardware line moved. The IBM i user count went from 10 to unlimited, and one partition became four. That is the whole gap.

Power 11 software is subscription only
IBM sells no perpetual IBM i license on Power 11. The hardware prices above include the IBM i 7.6 feature codes but not the subscription that follows.
IT Jungle ran IBM's configurator for eight cores. The P10 subscription on the S1122 came to $46,027 over three years. The P20 subscription on the S1124 came to $122,503 over the same three years. Same core count, more than double the software bill, because the tier changed.

Use one three-step pricing flow
- Choose the model. Start with the Power 11 model chooser and confirm the machine type-model.
