VIOS
Virtual I/O Server, a specialized partition that shares physical network and storage adapters across other logical partitions on a Power 11 system.
VIOS 4.1.1.30 or later is the minimum supported level across current Power11 models. It lets multiple IBM i, AIX, or Linux partitions share a smaller number of physical PCIe adapters instead of requiring dedicated hardware per partition.
