Logical Partition, an independent virtual system running its own OS instance on a shared Power 11 physical server, managed via PowerVM and the HMC.
A single Power 11 server can host many LPARs, each running IBM i, AIX, or Linux, sharing the underlying processor, memory, and I/O resources according to the HMC's partition profile configuration.
