IBM Power 11 Processor Module

Power 11 eSCM Processor Modules

The entry Single-Chip Module (eSCM) processor option used on S1112 and S1122 for cost-effective smaller-core configurations.

The entry Single-Chip Module (eSCM) packs one processor chip per module and is IBM's lower-core-count, cost-conscious Power11 option. It appears on the S1112 (4 or 10 cores) and the S1122 (4, 8, 10, or 20 cores in single- or dual-socket configurations).

eSCM feature codes by model

ModelFeature CodesCore Options
S1112EJMT, EJSV4-core, 10-core
S1122ERGR, ERGQ4, 8, 10, or 20-core

eSCM options generally post higher CPW-per-core than the equivalent low-end DCM feature at the same model, making them the better choice when total core count needs stay modest.
