SMT8
Simultaneous Multithreading with 8 threads per core, the maximum threading mode on Power 11 processors, used in IBM's SMT8 rPerf benchmark figures.
SMT8 lets each physical Power 11 core present up to 8 hardware threads to the operating system, which is why SMT8 rPerf figures are substantially higher than single-threaded (rPerf ST) figures for the same feature code.
