Machine Type-Model

MTM

IBM's identifier for a specific hardware configuration, such as 9824-22A for the Power S1122, used on quotes, service contracts, and support entitlement.

The machine type-model (sometimes written MTM) is the definitive way to identify a specific Power11 system for support, warranty, and parts purposes -- more precise than the marketing name alone.
